Reusable shipping packaging from Ravioli
How does it work?
For some orders we can offer you shipping in a reusable shipping box from Ravioli. If the products in your order qualify for reusable shipping, a window will appear at checkout where you can select shipping in a reusable shipping box. This will then be added to your shopping cart. Larger backpacks and weekenders are currently excluded. However, all accessories and wallets can be ordered in reusable packaging.
Unfortunately, reusing is more expensive than throwing away, so shipping in reusable packaging costs an extra €2.99 in our shop. This also includes the return and cleaning of the packaging. As a small thank you and compensation for the additional costs, you will receive a voucher for your next purchase. We will send you the voucher code by email after you have completed your order.
When you receive your order in the reusable ravioli packaging, you will find a QR code on the inside of the lid that will take you to return instructions. Here's how to do it:
- Scan the QR code on the inside to generate a QR code for return.
- Loosen the Velcro at the front of the ravioli packaging and press it flat.
- Fold the lid around the packaging so that the Velcro dots fit together again.
- Remove or paint over the old shipping label.
- Drop off the ravioli packaging at any DHL parcel shop, DHL Packstation or post office by showing the generated QR code. A shipping label will be created on site.
So: Scan - Fold - Bring to the parcel shop 🙂
In most cases, using things multiple times makes more sense than throwing them away (and recycling them) after one use. But not always. If you take CO2 emissions as a guideline, the cumulative emissions of the reusable alternative over the life of the product must be lower than the emissions caused by disposable products. In principle, the sooner the better. After just two cycles, ravioli packaging is lower than the CO2 emissions caused by disposable packaging of the same weight.
