Our experienced fine leather craftsmen design the leather products according to your wishes, and you can choose between gold embossing, silver embossing and blind embossing.

The Art of Leather Embossing

Leather embossing is done by precisely pressing punches or stamps into the leather hide, which changes the surface of the leather. A punch consists of a high-quality steel tool with a recessed shape on one side. The embossing stamps available for personalization include upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters. The font size is set in the embossing set and cannot be adjusted.

Individuality in the Detail

Depending on your specifications, the stamp characters are carefully inserted into the holder of the embossing machine. This is heated electrically to optimally prepare the steel elements. First, we select a leather sample that perfectly matches your desired object. Since the visibility of the embossing can vary depending on the leather surface, we carry out tests beforehand. The choice of embossing variant also plays a decisive role here.

Foil embossing or blind embossing?

If you would like to personalize your leather in gold or silver, we recommend foil embossing. The foil is first placed in the desired embossing position and then transferred to the leather using the printing technique of the heated embossing stamps. Alternatively, you can request embossing without color, which is known as blind printing or blind embossing. Please note that heavily grained leathers are a little more demanding for embossing.
