The first step to preserving the color of the leather is, of course, proper handling and impregnation. Without this, your leather product and therefore the leather colors are at the mercy of all environmental influences. However, it is important to use the right impregnation for the type of leather. But even if the color has already faded a little, there are ways to refresh the leather color. Proceed as follows:
1. CLEANING THE LEATHER
The best way to refresh the color of leather goods is to clean the leather properly beforehand. To do this, first remove coarse dirt with a cloth. You should not clean the leather with a brush, as this will roughen the surface. Then use cleaning foam or cream to remove even the last dirt particles from the pores.

2. CARE FOR THE LEATHER
Freshly cleaned, the clean leather is ready for a good dose of care. You will already notice that the cleaning has made the leather colors shine again. The cleaned pores of the leather can absorb care products particularly well. Use special color refresher sets and pamper your leather darling with a suitable balm. Tip: Moisturizing cream for people can also be used. The fat makes the color shine. Black and brown leather products in particular are beautifully refreshed, regain their depth and look as intense as on the first day.
3. COLORED LEATHER CARE
Depending on the leather and color, you can use colored cleaning products or shoe polish after cleaning once or twice a year to freshen up the leather colors. But be careful: not all types of leather can be treated with colored leather care products. The particularly sensitive aniline leather, for example, should not be dyed completely with leather dyes. Aniline leather is a colloquial term for leather that is dyed exclusively with soluble dyes and has no covering or pigment coating ( finishing ).
